#EatDrinkBeMerry: Miami, FL

Happy, happy Wednesday, friends! What a whirlwind November has been so far + it’s already over! I was in Florida a couple of weeks ago for work, so a few coworkers + I decided to make a trip down to Miami for the weekend after we finished training + we had an absolute blast! 🙂 It was extremely hard to narrow down all the good food + bars we went to, but here are a few of my favorites!

 Eat: Area 31

My favorite place to grab brunch this weekend was Area 31 in Brickell. It sits on the 16th floor of the Epic Hotel, + has an amazing view of Miami River. We went there for brunch on Sunday, + I cannot tell you how well it hit the spot for us. The food was extremely tasty, the service was great, + the view was unbeatable. More than anything, I think we were also super impressed with the service we received. The main server we had (I wish I had caught his name!) was so friendly + full of energy that it made our entire time there so pleasant.

I ordered the Huevos Rancheros, + was thoroughly pleased.

Area 31 also has a lunch, happy hour + dinner menu as well, all of which look fantastic!  If you’re ever in the Brickell area, I would definitely recommend checking it out. 🙂

Drink: Blackbird Ordinary

My favorite spot to grab a drink was Blackbird Ordinary, which is also in the Brickell area. We liked it so much, that we went back twice in the same night. 😉 The drinks there were different, but so delish (try the ‘Early Bird’ shot! Photographed below ;). ). The music was great. The people were really nice (we made a few new friends). Overall, it made the night so much more fun!

We went out to LIV on South Beach on Saturday night – + I will say that it was definitely an experience of its own + we had a GREAT time. However, actual drinks-wise, it was all of your typical stuff + nothing out of the ordinary, which is why I didn’t choose it as my feature. Nonetheless, go here for a guaranteed fun night!

 Be Merry: South Beach

I meean….you can’t go to Miami + not go to South Beach, right? We reached South Beach right around sunset, so not only did we get to catch an amazing view, it was so relaxing + laid back. Another reason I recommend doing this is because there are so many bars + restaurants on the coast, with each of them being so unique. We tried out some very authentic Haitian food at Tap Tap, which was so flavorful!

Overall, we honestly had an amazing time in Miami! The weekend almost felt too short to be able to do everything we wanted to, but we still accomplished quite a bit + enjoyed everything. I decided I would definitely be visiting Miami again, hopefully in the near future, for the food alone. ;).

Speaking of food, I think that’s all I did all of this past weekend for Thanksgiving…sooo time to go get back into shape + start prepping early for bikini season! Where are you off to for the holidays? Comment below, I’d love to hear! ‘Til next time, my traveling loves – xoxo.

p.s. I will also be doing a separate post on just The Wynwood Walls + all of the gorgeous photos you can take in that area (because there are a TON) — so be on the lookout for that! ;).
